Nora Bergsten AIA, LEED AP

Associate Nora Bergsten has been with CBP since 2012. In nearly two decades of experience, she has designed projects ranging from large-scale academic buildings to affordable housing, with an emphasis on renovations. She adeptly breathes new life into existing buildings, similar to how she reimagined her own career. Nora spent her childhood in the preprofessional program of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She then studied science as an undergraduate only to have a post-graduation epiphany while visiting the home of an architect that made her rethink her career path and pursue architecture.

“I think I was always interested in spaces for people. It’s not just about forms; it’s about people inhabiting them.”

Nora earned a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology from Haverford College. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and sits on the Greenfield School Advisory Council. She is registered in Pennsylvania.

Nora and her architect husband parent two grade-school children in Center City. When she’s not working or managing her busy family, Nora enjoys walking along the Schuylkill River Trail, reading (Ann Patchett and Barbara Kingsolver are favorite authors), vacationing in the Adirondacks, and taking advantage of Philadelphia’s cultural venues. Attending the orchestra brightens her world.
