Brodie Bauman

Architectural Intern

An architectural intern with the firm since 2022, Brodie Bauman gained a decade of nonprofit experience in contract fabrication and design-build work for public projects before committing to a career in architecture. His experience with carpentry, general contracting, and furniture design informs his approach to projects with an emphasis on constructability.

Brodie’s interest in architecture stemmed from his Northeast Philly upbringing and its context of abandoned industrial properties. He likes the comprehensive nature of design and imagining what’s possible.

“Being from Philadelphia gives me an immediate connection to the city that shapes a lot of how I think about architecture. Philadelphia has a texture that’s different.”

Brodie graduated from Philadelphia’s Science Leadership Academy at Beeber and earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. A self-proclaimed tech nerd, Brodie built his own desktop computer and enjoys exploring new technologies, manufacturing methods, and materials. The CBP team relies on his tech support skills – and the crucial fact that he makes the first pot of coffee each day. In his free time, the Brewerytown resident makes furniture, plays video games (Destiny is a favorite), and hangs out with his two cats.
