Alec Naktin

Architectural Designer

Architectural Designer Alec Naktin began his tenure with CBP as an intern in 2022, shifting to a full-time role after graduate school in 2023. He contributes to a variety of project types, gaining experience and exposure as he works toward registration. Alec is particularly interested in adaptive reuse and understanding how structures can evolve.

“For the time being, I’m trying to learn as much as I can. Everybody at CBP is very caring and kind. It’s a supportive environment to learn and grow.”

As an artistic high school student, Alec sought a balance between creativity and a fulfilling profession. Architecture combined his interest in art with his problem-solving and organization skills. He earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University, where he dual-majored in architecture and Spanish. His opportunities to study abroad in Rome, Northern Spain, and Copenhagen provided insights to how other cultures construct and approach architecture.

Aside from his architectural work, Alec keeps his creativity active by drawing and painting with acrylics, baking, and playing competitive board games (his favorites are Unearth and Settlers of Catan). He and his partner live in Northern Liberties.
