Mission First’s Mid City Apartments are highlighted in the Summer 2023 issue of Context, the journal of AIA Philadelphia. “Philadelphia’s Preservation Challenge” describes the city’s unmet need for nearly 72,000 affordable housing units for Philadelphia’s low and extremely low-income households. Mission First was awarded over $9 million in Preservation Funds to preserve four affordable housing properties, including Mid City Apartments. Mission First turned to CBP Architects for our deep experience in both Center City luxury high-rise residences and affordable rental housing to redesign Mid City Apartments, making it as comparable as possible to other downtown residences.
