CBP Architects announces that Senior Associate, Interiors, Jack Larimore will retire effective 31 December 2024. While he will no longer be an active daily presence in the office, Jack will continue to lend his input and support to projects on a limited basis.

Jack joined CBP in 2015 after collaborating with the firm on multiple prior projects. He spearheaded interior design, ensuring architectural concepts extended holistically to interiors via material and color choices, furnishings, and detailing. A furniture maker and sculptor, and a landscape architect by training, Jack lent a cleverness with materials – especially wood – that extended from furniture to custom millwork. A professor for many years, Jack also mentored his office colleagues, instilling an artist’s eye for design coupled with a professional’s emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
As he shifts to retirement, Jack plans to spend more time on his farm in South Jersey and on artistic endeavors, like this recent Rowan University exhibition. Most importantly, Jack will continue to actively mentor CBP colleagues.
“We are filled with gratitude for the contributions Jack has made to the firm,” said Partner Eric Leighton, AIA. “He took us to a higher level with creativity, showing that materiality and design choices don’t have to be costly to be special. Particularly for our affordable housing work, Jack broadened how we think about spaces and helped us bring a level of delight that sets our work apart. This approach will be one of Jack’s lasting impacts.”
