CBP Architects welcomed three new architectural designers to the team in May and June. All three support the firm’s affordable housing projects.
“Berke, David, and Kartini bring varied international perspectives and commitments to architecture that reinforces social engagement and environmental responsibility,” said Managing Partner Nancy Bastian, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP. “They are passionate about designing affordable housing that makes a difference to residents and communities.”
A native of Turkey, Berke Meder practiced architecture and built a reputation in competition-based design in Istanbul. His past projects included community-based urban renewals. Berke believes in architecture as a socially engaged practice and maintains interests in digital modeling and technology-driven processes.
David Owe, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate, was born in Nigeria. He began his career designing concrete projects from sculptures to stairs. He also worked in retail, office, and residential design. David combines his architectural skills with an interest in the real estate and business side of multifamily housing.
Kartini Divya, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate, grew up and practiced for a time in India. Her decade of professional experience includes healthcare, commercial, and residential projects, providing valuable context for affordable housing work. Kartini’s background in a developing country inspires her to design projects that make a positive impact.
